Weather Checker — Free Live Forecast, UV Index & Air Quality for Any City
Check live weather conditions, 24-hour forecast, 7-day outlook, UV index, air quality, and sunrise/sunset times for any city worldwide. Free, instant, no signup required.
Skycally's Weather Checker is a free, no-signup weather tool powered by the Open-Meteo API. Type any city and instantly see live conditions, a 24-hour hourly forecast, and a 7-day daily outlook — all loading in under a second with no API key or account required. The tool auto-detects your location on first load for immediate local weather.
Beyond basic temperature and wind speed, the tool includes a UV Index checker with color-coded risk levels (Low through Extreme) and a European Air Quality Index showing Good through Extremely Poor ratings. Sunrise and sunset times display in the city's local timezone, alongside humidity, precipitation probability, and feels-like temperature — everything you need to plan your day.
Weather data comes from Open-Meteo, which aggregates forecasts from NOAA, ECMWF, and 15+ national meteorological services worldwide. Accuracy is comparable to major weather apps. An interactive OpenStreetMap view pins the searched city, providing geographic context alongside the weather data. Privacy is built in — no searches, IP addresses, or location data are stored or logged.
The 24-hour hourly cards scroll horizontally on both mobile and desktop, showing weather emoji, temperature, and precipitation probability for each hour ahead. The 7-day forecast cards display high/low temperatures, weather conditions, and precipitation probability for each day — giving you a complete picture from now through the week.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the weather data?
Data comes from Open-Meteo, which aggregates models from NOAA, ECMWF, and 15+ national weather services. Accuracy is comparable to major weather apps like Weather.com and AccuWeather.
Which cities are supported?
Any city or town worldwide with a population above a few thousand. Type the city name in English and the geocoding API will find it automatically.
Is the forecast updated in real time?
Yes. Every search sends a fresh request to Open-Meteo, which updates its models hourly from live weather station data.
Do you store my location or search history?
No. Your city search and location (if granted) are used only to fetch weather data from Open-Meteo. Nothing is stored or logged on our servers.
What is the UV Index?
The UV Index measures ultraviolet radiation intensity: 0–2 Low (safe), 3–5 Moderate (sunscreen recommended), 6–7 High (protection essential), 8–10 Very High, 11+ Extreme (avoid outdoor exposure). The calculator shows today's maximum UV.
What is the Air Quality Index (AQI)?
The European AQI shown here rates air quality on a scale: 0–20 Good, 21–40 Fair, 41–60 Moderate, 61–80 Poor, 81–100 Very Poor, 100+ Extremely Poor. Higher values indicate more air pollutants that may affect health.
Why does the tool show London by default?
London is the fallback city used when location permission is denied or unavailable. Type any city name and press Check Weather to see your preferred location.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes. The tool is fully responsive with touch-friendly scrolling for the hourly forecast cards. Location detection works on mobile browsers that support the Geolocation API.
