Skycally's 2048 is a faithful recreation of the viral sliding tile puzzle. Use arrow keys on desktop or swipe on mobile to slide all tiles in one direction. When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one — doubling the value. The goal is to create a tile with the value 2048. A new tile (value 2 or 4) appears after each move.

2048 was created by Gabriele Cirulli in 2014 and became one of the most viral browser games ever, reaching 4 million unique visitors in its first week. The gameplay is deceptively simple but requires genuine strategic thinking: managing the board space, keeping the highest-value tile in a corner, and building a chain of decreasing values toward it.

The score increases with every merge — merging two 128 tiles adds 256 to your score. Your best score is saved locally so you always have a target to beat. The game ends when no valid moves remain — either by merging or by having empty spaces. Reach 2048 and keep going: 4096, 8192, and beyond are all achievable.

Strategy tips: keep your highest tile in a corner at all times. Build a descending chain of values toward it — for example, 1024 → 512 → 256 → 128 in one direction. Avoid filling the board by planning 2-3 moves ahead, and be cautious about moving in a direction that disrupts your tile arrangement.
