Face landmark detection is used in augmented reality, facial analysis, emotion recognition and 3D face modeling. Our tool uses MediaPipe Face Mesh, a model originally developed by Google Research, running entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — no facial data is stored or transmitted anywhere.

468 points is a dense enough mesh to capture subtle expressions and precise facial geometry, which is why this same underlying technology powers many real-world AR filters (like those on Instagram and Snapchat), virtual try-on tools, and face-tracking features in video call apps. Toggling between the raw dot overlay and the connected mesh view makes it easy to see exactly how the model segments the face into regions.
