Tetris

Skycally's Tetris is a faithful recreation of the classic block-stacking puzzle game, playable directly in your browser on desktop or mobile. Tetrominoes — the seven classic shapes made of four blocks each — fall from the top of the board. Rotate and move them to fill complete horizontal lines, which disappear and score points. The game speeds up as your score increases.

On desktop, use the arrow keys to move left and right, rotate with Up or Z, soft-drop with Down, and hard-drop instantly with Space. On mobile, on-screen buttons provide the same controls. The next piece preview in the corner lets you plan your placement before each piece arrives.

Tetris is one of the best-selling and most played video games of all time, first created by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. It remains a benchmark for puzzle game design: simple rules, deep skill expression, and infinitely replayable. The game is widely studied for its cognitive benefits including improved spatial reasoning, problem-solving speed, and mental rotation ability.

Lines scored clear instantly with an animation and sound effect. Clearing multiple lines simultaneously earns bonus points: 2 lines (Double), 3 lines (Triple), or 4 lines at once (Tetris) — the highest-scoring single move in the game. The level increases every 10 lines cleared, dropping pieces faster and demanding quicker decisions.
